In 1908 a shaft on the property known as Alexandra was sunk. Silver was not found at this point and the project abandoned. In 1962 the Silverfields Corp. located the original shaft and after repairing and dewatering commenced diamond drilling. The operators successfully located a large vein system and production started in 1963. The mine produced over 20 mil oz. of silver and was last operated by Teck Resources. The mine closed June 1983.
