A former lode Au occurrence/mine located in sec. 8, T31S, R36E, MDM, 3.2 km (2.0 miles) S of Cross Mountain (coordinates of record), at the S margin of Antimony Flat. The property is comprised of 8 claims. Owned by the Vern Moore estate and associates, Cantil, California (1949- ). MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 500 meters.

Mineralization is hosted in quartz monzonite. The ore body strikes N85W and dips 70-75NE at a thickness of 9.14 meters. The principal vein is 2 to 8 feet in thickness. 1,200 feet to the N another parallel vein occurs and is up to 30 feet thick. 100 feet W of the 250 foot shaft a fault displaces the vein 60 feet to the N. The gangue includes quartz. Local rocks include Mesozoic granitic rocks, unit 3 (Sierra Nevada, Death Valley area, Northern Mojave Desert and Transverse Ranges).

Workings include underground openings comprised of 2 shafts. The E shaft is 250 feet deep with levels at 75, 140 and 250 feet. Drifts on the 250 foot level were driven W 200 feet and 210 feet E. The other shaft is 1,000 feet to the W with levels at 100 and 200 feet. A 100 foot shaft was sunk on the 30 foot thick vein. A mill site was established 1-5 miles down the canyon from the mine.
