A pumice occurrence located in the center sec. 24, T37N, R9E, MDM, 1.0 km (3,400 feet) N of Letterbox Hill, along Preston Canyon, on National Forest land. Operated by H. P. Anderson. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 1,000 meters. This deposit has not been worked.

Local rocks include Tertiary pyroclastic and volcanic mudflow deposits, unit 9 (Cascade Range).

Workings include surface openings comprised of several shallow pits and cuts.

A sizing test gave 90.4% minus 100 mesh and 9.6% plus 100 mesh. Material was reported to contain less than 1% Fe.
