A Mn occurrence located in sec. 21, T2N, R7W, MDM, 2.4 km (7,800 feet) ESE of San Geronimo, ½ mile S of Woodacre, 8 miles NW of San Rafael. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 1,000 meters.
Stains and irregular patches of manganese oxide occur in red jasper that apparently has been caught up as blocks in serpentine. This material is high in silica. Local rocks include rocks of the Franciscan melange.
Deposit is undeveloped.
