A former lode Au mine located in sec. 18, T3S, R17E, MDM, 1.4 km (4,700 feet) NW of Buckhorn Peak, on Buckhorn Flat (3½ miles SE of Coulterville), on National Forst land. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 1,000 meters.
Mineralization is a vein deposit with a 5 foot thick vein. The ore body strikes NW and dips 65NE. Local rocks include Mesozoic volcanic rocks, unit 2 (Western Sierra Foothills and Western Klamath Mountains).
Workings include surface openings with an overall length of 60.96 meters and comprised of a 200 foot diameter open cut.
