A former lode Au mine located in sec. 21, T4S, R16E, MDM, 4.2 km (2.6 miles) N of Quartzburg, S of Cotton Creek (½ mile N of the Silver Lead Mine). Operated during the period 1953-1955. Operated by Etta Barnard and S. W. Wilmert. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 500 meters.

Mineralization is a vein deposit. This occurrence is similar to that of the Silver Lead Mine. Local rocks include Mesozoic volcanic rocks, unit 2 (Western Sierra Foothills and Western Klamath Mountains).

Workings include unspecified underground openings.

Production data are found in: Bowen, O.E., Jr. & C.H. Gray, Jr. (1957).

Undergoing development work 1953-1955. Small production of Au & Ag recovered by amalgamation for this period.
