A former lode Au mine located in the NW¼ (?) sec. 14, T3S, R16E, MDM, 1.9 km (6,200 feet) WNW of Virginia Point (coordinates of record) and 3.2 km (2.0 miles) ESE of Horseshoe Bend Mountain (coordinates of record), along Whites Gulch (3 miles E of Lake McClure). MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 1,000 meters. Patent applied for (1903).

Mineralization is a vein deposit hosted in serpentinite and slate. The ore body strikes NW and dips 70NE at a thickness of 0.61 meters. The hanging wall is serpentine and the footwall is slate. Local rocks include ultramafic rocks, chiefly Mesozoic, unit 2 (Western Sierra Nevada and Klamath Mountains).

Workings include underground openings with a length of 53.34 meters and an overall depth of 53.34 meters, and comprised of an incline.
