A former lode Au-Cu occurrence/mine located in the NW¼ sec. 13 & in the NE¼ sec. 14, T47N, R15E, MDM, 1.9 km (6,400 feet) S of Yellow Mountain (coordinates of record) (1 mile NE of Mount Vida; ¾ mile SE of Little Lily Lake), on National Forest land. Operated by James Kafader. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 1,000 meters.

Mineralization is a vein deposit (Mineral occurrence model information: Model code: 151; USGS model code: 25d; Deposit model name: Epithermal vein, Sado; Mark3 model number: 28; USGS model may also be 25A: Hot-spring Au-Ag), hosted in Pliocene andesite. The ore body is a vein that strikes N70W and dips 67S at a thickness of 0.61 meters. The Au is so fine that it is not visible in the ore. Local rocks include Tertiary volcanic flow rocks, unit 17 (Cascade Range). This was the first vein discovered in the district.

Related tectonic structures include the Basin and Range province.

Workings include surface and underground openings comprised of short adits and cuts.
