A former lode Au occurrence/mine located in the W½ (estimated) sec. 27, T16N, R8E, MDM, about 1.3 km NW of Grass Valley proper, S of Alta Hill and E of St. Patricks Cemetary. MRDS database accuracy for this location is not stated.

Mineralization is hosted in granodiorite. The ore body strikes N and dips W at a thickness of 0.91 meter (3 feet). Local rocks include Tertiary pyroclastic and volcanic mudflow deposits, unit 9 (Cascade Range).

Workings include underground openings with a length of 213.36 meters and an overall depth of 91.44 meters and comprised of a 300 foot incline on the Dromedary and a 65 foot incline on the Berriman, plus drifts and stopes.

No production record was found. The Dromedary has a history of rich production.
