A former lode Au occurrence/mine located in sec. 1, T15N, R8E, MDM, 1.3 km (0.8 mile) E of La Barr Meadows (2.5 miles SSE of Grass Valley), on private (patented) land. The property comprises 19.643 acres. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 1,000 meters.
Mineralization is a vein deposit. The ore body strikes N and dips 40W. The vein is a few inches to 2½ feet thick. Local rocks include Mesozoic volcanic rocks, unit 2 (Western Sierra Foothills and Western Klamath Mountains).
Workings include surface and underground openings.
