A former lode Au occurrence/mine located in the SE¼ sec. 24 & in the NE¼ 25, T14N, R9E, MDM, 4.2 km (2.6 miles) E of New England Mills, along the E side of Bunch Canyon, N of Big John Hill and S of Camels Hump (summit). The property is comprised of 6 claims. Owned by David Bauer (1913). MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 500 meters.
Mineralization is a vein (?) deposit hosted in slate. The ore body is 6.1 meters thick and is copmprised of pyritized black slate. Local rocks include Jurassic marine rocks, unit 1 (Western Sierra Nevada and Western Klamath Mountains).
Workings include underground openings with a length of 115.82 meters and comprised of 2 adits.
