A former lode Au occurrence/mine located in the SW¼SW¼ secs. 30 & in the NW¼NW¼ 31, T14N, R11E, MDM, about 2.2 km (7,200 feet) E of Foresthill proper, along the E margin of the Forest Hill Divide (W ridge of Volcano Canyon), on private land within a National Forest area. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 100 meters.

Mineralization is a vein deposit hosted in serpentinite. The ore body is 1.52 meters thick. The vein is 1 to 5 feet thick. Local rocks include ultramafic rocks, chiefly Mesozoic, unit 2 (Western Sierra Nevada and Klamath Mountains).

Analytical data results: estimated ore assays were at $53 (period values) Au/ton.
