A former Cr occurrence/mine located in the SW¼ sec. 30, T14N, R11E, MDM, 1.5 km (0.9 mile) S of Bath and 2.3 km (7,700 feet) E of Foresthill, on the W wall of Volcano Canyon (E wall of the Forest Hill Divide), on National Forest land. Owned by C. W. Doherty & E. Morris, Jr. (1949). MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 1,000 meters. This is one of many localities placed into a very large area termed the "Forest Hill Divide area" by Rynearson.
Local rocks include ultramafic rocks, chiefly Mesozoic, unit 2 (Western Sierra Nevada and Klamath Mountains).
Approximately 10 tons of low-grade ore were mined but not shipped.
