A former placer Au-Ag (trace) occurrence/hydraulic mine located in secs. 33 & 34, T14N, R10E, MDM, about 2.3 km (1.4 miles) ESE of Iowa Hill (populated place). MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 1,000 meters.
NOTE: The USGS MRDS database file contains the correct geographic coordinates for this locality but presents the T&R value as being sec. 2, T22N, R11E, MDM. This is incorrect. That file also states that this occurrence also lies in sec. 33, which is contiguous with sec. 34, not any sec. 2.
Local rocks include Tertiary pyroclastic and volcanic mudflow deposits, unit 9 (Cascade Range).
