A former Hg occurrence/mine located in the SE¼SW¼ sec. 31, T15S, R10E, and in the N½N½NE¼ sec. 6, T126S, R10E, MDM, 3.9 km (2.4 miles) S of Llanada, WNW of Buck Spring, on private (patented) land. Discovered in 1873. Owned by Mrs. Thomas Flint. Produced during the periods 1873 to 1876 and 1902. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 100 meters.
Mineralization is hosted in rocks of the Upper Cretaceous Panoche Formation (Late Jurassic serpentinite). The ore body is irregular. Local alteration includes silica carbonate alteration of serpentine. Local rocks include ultramafic rocks, chiefly Mesozoic, unit 3 (Coast Ranges and Western Klamath Mountains).
Local geologic structures include a serpentine-sandstone contact.
Workings include unspecified surface and underground openings with a length of 609.6 meters (the topo map reflects 1 adit symbol just W of this point plus 2 prospect pit symbols in section 6).
