A Mn-Fe-Cu occurrence located in secs. 17 & 20, T10N, R22E, SBM, 8.1 km (5.0 miles) NE of Klinefelter, in the Dead Mountains, on federal wilderness land (Dead Mountains Wilderness Area) (located claim). Discovered in 1918. Owned & operated by T.E. Gallagher, California, and by J. W. Arrington, California (1974). MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 1,000 meters.

Mineralization is hosted in granodiorite and Late Cambrian gneiss. The ore body is 0.981 meter wide and 3.05 meters long. Ore occurs as small, scattered, lens-shaped bodies in granodiorite gneiss. The ore bodies are irregular and discontinuous, usually less than 10 feet long and 6 inches (15 cm) to 3 feet (0.91 meter) wide. The contact with the gneiss is sharp, with ore encased in a thin selvage of cream-colored lime carbonate. The ore is mainly psilomelane with calcite and possibly some pyrolusite. Local rocks include Quaternary alluvium and marine deposits.

Workings include unspecified surface openings.

Analytical data results: The average grade is 35% Mn, 5 to 15% Fe oxides, 15 to 25% Ca-carbonate and 5 to 15% silica.
