A former Au occurrence/mine located in sec. 33, T3N, R1E, SBM, about 5.3 km NW of Big Bear City, on the eastern end of Holcomb Valley, on private (patented) land. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 10 meters.
Local rocks include Mesozoic granitic rocks, unit 3 (Sierra Nevada, Death Valley area, Northern Mojave Desert and Transverse Ranges).
Workings include unspecified surface and underground openings (the topo map reflects a single shaft symbol).
