A former lode Au occurrence/mine located in the W½NW¼ sec. 9, T15N, R11E, SBM, 2.1 km (1.3 miles) W of Yucca Grove, 3.4 km (2.1 miles) SE of Solomons Knob (summit (coordinates of record) and about 8 km ENE of Halloran Springs, ENE of Negro Head (summit), on the N side of Interstate highway 15. The property is comprised of 21 claims. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 1,000 meters.
Mineralization is a vein deposit hosted in basalt and granite. The NE portion of the property is covered by a basalt flow. Local rocks include Mesozoic granitic rocks, unit 3 (Sierra Nevada, Death Valley area, Northern Mojave Desert and Transverse Ranges) and/or Quaternary alluvium and marine deposits.
Little development work was done.
