A Au prospect located in sec. 35, T10N, R20E, SBM, about 5.2 km (3.3 miles) NW of Flattop Mountain (coordinates of record). MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 10 meters.
NOTE: There is a significant discrepancy in the data presented in the USGS MRDS database file. It presents a T&R value of sec. 35, T10N, R20E, SBM; however, the geographic coordinates provided place the locality at the southern boundary of sec. 14, T9N, R20E, SBM. There are no topo map mining symbols at this location. Examination of sec. 35, T10N, R20E reveals the presence of 1 shaft symbol and 1 prospect pit symbol (unlabeled) at 34.91926, -114.86615, in the SE¼NW¼ of the section. It would seem that the error is in the coordinates provided that place it in sec. 14.
Local rocks include Precambrian granitic rocks, unit 1 (Eastern Mojave Desert).
