A former lode Au mine located in sec. 35, T30N, R9W, MDM, 2.1 km (6,700 feet) ENE of Arbuckle Mountain (coordinates of record), along the Middle Fork Cottonwood Creek between Big Bear Gulch and Spring Gulch, about 4.2 miles NE of Platina. Property is 16 claims. MRDS database accuracy for this location is not stated.
Mineralization is a vein deposit hosted in metasedimentary rock. The ore body is tabular in form, strikes N39W and dips 35SW. The ore is in parallel quartz veins. Local rocks include Paleozoic marine rocks, undivided, unit 9 (Western Klamath Mountains).
Workings include surface and underground openings. The underground workings have an overall length of 320.95 meters and consist of adits and drifts.
