A former Ag-Cu-Zn-Au-Pb mine located in secs. 17-20, T31N, R6W, MDM, 3 miles W of Igo. MRDS database accuracy for this location is not stated. Additional claim names include: Fraction No. 1, Fraction No. 2, Fraction No. 4, Metal claim, Amy claim, and the Bathdith claim.
Mineralization is a vein deposit hosted in quartz diorite. The quartz diorite is intruded by both acidic and basic dikes. Local rocks include Mesozoic granitic rocks, unit 5 (Klamath Mountains). 36 veins and fissures have been cut.
Workings include underground openigs with an overall depth of 64.01 meters.
The Chicago-Madison vein produced approximately $1,000,000 of metal (period values). 40 tons of ore was shipped from vein 28 to Kennett, which assayed at $0.83 Au and 17.7 oz/ton Ag (period values).
