A former placer Au-Ag mine located 4.3 km (2.7 miles) SE of Potato Mountain, along the Siskiyou County line, on Bureau of Land Management land (Trinity Alps Wilderness). Discovered 1890. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 1,000 meters.
Local rocks include ultramafic rocks, chiefly Mesozoic, unit 2 (Western Sierra Nevada and Klamath Mountains).
