A former lode Au mine located 3.9 km (2.4 miles) NNE of Weaverville, along Weaver Creek (claims occur on gentle slopes cut by small ravines, 4.3 miles SE of Monument Peak). MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 500 meters.

Mineralization is hosted in mica schist, metasedimentary rock, porphyry and basalt. The geology is described as meta-sedimentary series with possible intgerbedded lava, intruded by fine-grained porphyritic dikes of more than one kind, some light in color, others dark. The mica schist is the most predominant of the metamorphic series, but strata a few inches thick of slaty material and siliceous material occur also. Local alteration is highly weathered and decomposed zone near surface. Local rocks include Oligocene nonmarine rocks, unit 1 (Northern California).

Workings include superficial surface cuts which did not penetrate the oxidized zone.

Analytical data results: Ore assayed $4-$6/ton in Au, based on 3 surface samples taken by E.N. Todd, who optioned the claims, and a run of 40 tons treated in a small mill.
