Stony Creek prospect, Stony Creek Village, Tulare Co., California, USA

A W occurrence/prospect located in the NE¼ (estimated) sec. 7, T15S, R29E, MDM, 3.7 km (2.3 miles) SW of Stony Creek Village, along an unnamed tributary of the North Fork Kaweah River, W of Stony Creek (3 miles via unimproved road from highway 180), on National Park Service land (Kings Canyon National Park). MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 500 meters.

Local rocks include Mesozoic granitic rocks, unit 3 (Sierra Nevada, Death Valley area, Northern Mojave Desert and Transverse Ranges).

Workings include surface openings comprised of a 12 foot and an 8 foot prospect pits. Float only, no ore found in situ.

Analytical data results: Estimated 1.5 to 2.0% WO3.
