Reported quartz discovery by Chuck Houser of Fallbrook, the exact location being unspecified other than somewhere along the north, west or southern side of the mountain area within a portion of land development likely occurring during the late 1990's. Single smoky quartz was described by Dr. Robert Lavinsky as a "sharp cluster of 2 intergrown xls" measuring 28x27x5mm; which was said to be sold for USD 35.00.
Notes:
The area is located on private lands, some of which is set aside as open space and habitat mitigation for lands disturbed by suburban development.
