A complex intrusion (pluton) of medium- to coarse-grained syenite (nepheline & somewhat porphyritic alkali syenite), that crops out in a belt. The outcrop runs from Benton, Saline Co. to the city limits of Little Rock, Pulaski Co. The older unit is an altered olivine syenite and the younger an analcime nepheline syenite.
