Ref.: Ashley, R.P. (1974), Field Examination (Unnamed Cu prospect 117-61).

MRDS database Dep. ID file #10039827, MRDS ID #M050907.

A Cu occurrence/prospect with surface and underground workings located in sec. 31, T13S, R12E.

Mineralization is a tabular ore body 2 meters wide, hosted in latite and striking S65E, dipping 77S. Ore control was a marble body (Limestone pod). Alteration is pyrite-gossan; skarn. An associated rock unit is quartz monzonite.

The shear zone has 1 meter of massive red specular hematite with some yellow-brown limonite on the footwall side, and 1 meter of epidote-calcite skarn adjacent on the hanging wall side. The hanging wall is fine-grained marble. Most material on the dump is crumbly quartz with abundant, locally massive pyrite (unoxidized equivalent of gossan material). Also on the dump is a small amount of garnet-calcite and garnet-magnetite / hematite-calcite skarn with minor Cu silicates and pyrite.

Local structures include a shear (?) zone with skarn.

Workings include a shaft amd tunnel behind it; 4 pits over a distance of 35 meters.
