An old baryte mine, worked between 1850 and 1870. The workings comprised two shafts and two adits, and explored two SE-trending baryte veins on the northwest slope of Kahlberg mountain, north of the B 460 road.

This mine produced large baryte crystals that were up to 30 cm long. Specimens have been preserved in the collections of the Landesmuseum at Darmstadt and the Senckenberg museum at Frankfurt.
