The Urueña River (Spanish: Río Urueña) is a river of Argentina. It is a tributary of the Horcones River and is located in the extreme northeast of Burruyacú Department, on the border between the provinces of Tucumán and Salta.
Manifestations of manganese, which are presented as dioxide (Pyrolusite and Psilomelane, Cryptomelane), are found in the Canyon (valley) of the Río Urueña. Elevation: 434 m. above sea level.
