Ruda nickel mine is situated about 4,5 km north of Skedevi church. Copper and nickel has been mined discontinously from the 1840s to 1917.
The sulphide ore occurs as concretions and impregnations in a norite gabbro.
A second mine "Storgruvan" exist as well to the north within the same norite body but both are more known together as Ruda Mine.
