Mining concession no. 2784 "Vermilhas no. 1", registered on 10-11-1952.

It's not totally clear this mining claim is the same place where the phosphates were described by Correia Neves in 1966, as there are other small prospects in the Vermilhas area. The work by Correia Neves refers only to an area named "Candieira", which is not shown in the topographical maps, and the inhabitants of the area have no recollection of this name.
