Alteration: Dolomite Was Jasperized Along Faults & Fractures

Deposit: Faults and brecciation controlled ore-formation the property was the site for the first discovery of ore in the district in 1864. Worked from 1881-1892, 162 tons valued at $10,900 was produced. (nolan 1962). The mine is located in lower New York canyon ; info.src : 1 pub lit

Development: Site of the first ore discovery in the district; worked from 1881 to 1892.

Geology: The host rock is intensely brecciated dark dolomite. Several steep N W striking faults cut the dolomite and may have served As channelways for ore-forming solutions
