A former lode Au mine located in sec. 6 and/or sec. 18, T37N, R12W, MDM (land unsurveyed for township-range - projected), 1.6 km (5,200 feet) NE of Marysville site, near the Siskiyou County line, near Mary Blaine Meadow (1 mile S of Deer Peak on mountain), on Bureau of Land Management wilderness land (Trinity Alps Wilderness). First production was in 1895. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 100 meters.
Mineralization is hosted in granitic rocks. The ore body dips 75N. Local rocks include Mesozoic gabbroic rocks, unit 2 (undivided).
Workings include underground openings comprised of a 130 foot crosscut adit with 2 drifts on the vein, 40 and 80 feet long, plus a 120 foot deep winze.
Production statistics: 1897: period 1895-1897: 435 ounces (13,530 grams) Au.
