Superior (Western Apache: Yooʼ Łigai) is a town in Pinal County, Arizona, United States. Superior, which is in northern Pinal County, is the oldest town in that county. Superior was founded as a mining town for the Silver King and the later Magma mines; silver was mined at first, and then transitioned to copper. Currently, exploitation of the huge Resolution Copper deposit is being explored.

Production in the Superior area mines to the end of 1948 was credited at $153,398,683, of which $364,043 is undistributed, and the remainder accounted as follows: Cu — 849,869,979 pounds (ca. 385,495 t) ($113,561,780); Ag — 32,440,230 ounces (ca. 1,226 t) ($26,687,288); Au — 281,138 ounces (ca. 11 t) ($8,269,574); Zn — 48,483,000 pounds (ca. 21,992 t) ($4,316,071); and Pb — 2,969,320 pounds (ca. 1,347 t) ($199,927). All the zinc came from the Magma Mine during 1938-45.
