Disseminated hydrothermally altered mylonite-hosted gold deposit.
Pangxidong and Jinshan are actually two individual deposits, but they are genetically closely related, occur in close proximity within the same fault zone and show essentially the same mineralization.
Within the fault zone, the proven silver metal reserves are about 1400 tons (with an average grade of 195 g/t), gold reserves exceed 20 tons, and lead and zinc reserves are both over 50,000 tons, making it an important region for silver and gold precious metals in South China. Pangxidong mineralization can be divided into three stages, that is, the silicate-, polymetallic sulfide- and carbonate stage.
