The Isahara Pegmatite Field is located in a belt more than 100km long streching out from the village Isahara in the south (West of the town of Manambondro) and further north just south of Farafangana, the center of the Atsimo-Atsinanana Region. (Located both in the districts of Vaingaindrano and Farafangana)
A large number of miarolitic NYF-pegmatites has been found in this area

Some tourmalines and beryls from this pegmatite field has been labelled as coming from Vangaindrano, a town near the coast between Manambondro and Farafangana.
