A small village formally named after Amor Chandler who purchased the land in 1812. Historical locale for "Muscovite marked by Magnetic Iron", where famed mineral collector William Jeffris had also collected. Jeffris had produced one of his typical hand-made folios dedicated to the site, which originally including ten (six have since gone missing) various specimens (latter 19th Century).
