Town with as yet unexploited iron ore deposits. These ore deposits extend into neighbouring Cameroon and Congo.
Located near the Congo-Brazzaville border.

The iron ore deposit was already discovered in 1895.
It is bound to the Archaean North Gabon Massif.

The Bélinga iron ore deposit is the biggest iron deposit in Gabon with
more than 600 Mt of high grade ore. As of 2017 the deposit is undeveloped.
