This must be an allusion to Sohon's 1951 "Connecticut Minerals" which basically lists minerals found in each town. Under the description of chalcanthite he lists only Norwich. In the section where all the minerals for each town are listed, with their original references, the chalcanthite entry under Norwich references Hattie Cochrane's 1896 "Rocks and Minerals of Connecticut", basically a list of rocks and minerals by town done for schools. A search of its text using Google Books did not find "chalcanthite". It may have been entered under another name. This reference also lists, "copper" and "chrysocolla".

In the section where all the minerals for each town are listed, with their original references, the chlorophyllite entry under Norwich references Hattie Cochrane's 1896 "Rocks and Minerals of Connecticut", basically a list of rocks and minerals by town done for schools. This reference also lists cordierite from Norwich, from which chlorophyllite forms, as does Shepard (1837). So the presence of chlorophyllite is reasonable.
