Cueva del Cerro Autana, Amazonas, Venezuela
A cave system near the top of Cerro Autana (Autana Mountain), a table-top mountain. Access to the caves is extremely difficult. The caves were first reached by Charles Brewer-Carías and David Nott in 1970 when they landed on the summit by helicopter and descended using ropes and a caving ladder. It was first accessed by climbing in 1974.
