Late-medieval mining on pyrite-chalcopyrite-magnetite ore.
The deposit originated due to metamorphic overprinting of a pre-metamorphic Fe oxide-sulphide ore layer.

Located about 10 km NW of Matrei in Osttirol, on the SW slope of Dabernitzkogel Mtn at 2516 m und 2700 m asl.
