It should be noted that there is an Ameroo locality in South Australia in addition to an Ammaroo in the Northern Territory.

Greisen

Note: Location co-ordinates are based on description given by Hosking, A. J., (1995).

Wolframite, with minor tantalite and columbite mineralisation in quartz veins, up to 20 mms wide, hosted by greissenised Elkedra Granite. The veins also contain radiating black tourmaline (dravite or schorl?), muscovite and minor feldspar.

The mine has produced 0.5 tonnes WO3.

Map: Bonzle places mine 3 kilometres north-east of the Tosca turquoise mine, although there is no other supporting evidence. This locates the mine about 15 kilometres north-east of where it is presently placed on the Mindat map.
