A Ag-Pb-Cu-Au mine group located in the center & East-center (N½) of sec. 33, T.22S., R.16E, 600 feet S of the Basin No. 1 prospect, on National Forest land. Owned by Mr. Richard Glinski of AZ (1960); and, the Mumme Mining Co.
Mineralization is deeply oxidized, siliceous, lensing, quartz shear veins containing argentiferous galena and other sulfides, cutting crushed and altered Cretaceous andesite volcanics with interbedded silicated limestone and shale with rhyolite intrusives.
The vein is 600 feet south of the Basin No. 1 prospect. The vein is 2 feet wide and contains secondary copper minerals between good andesite vein walls, with gouge on each side. The vein dips 75ºNNE.
An old, caved shaft on the west end of the claim and an open cut near the center.
Workings include a shaft, adits, tunnels, and an open cut. These mines were worked in the 1880's and early 1900's. They produced some 100 tons of ore averaging about 15 oz. Ag/T, 5.5% Pb, and 4.5% Cu.
