A former surface and underground Mn-Baryte-Fe mine on 4 claims located in sec. 12, T10N, R17W, 4 miles from the Planet Mine & about 26 miles NW of Bouse at 1,350 feet of altitude, on BLM-administered land. NOTE: Alternate coordinates provided: 34.2186N, 113.9728W. Location is approximate.

The occurrence of manganese minerals is limited to a few so-called 'blowouts', the largest of which is 50 feet long by 20 feet wide. The mineralized material of the 'blowouts' or chimneys is silicified limestone and quartzite, impregnated with iron and manganese oxides and is cut by seams an inch or less in width of long, fibrous manganite crystals.

Mineralization is a replacement deposit contained in sheared rocks along a fault zone, that strikes N25W & apparently dips SW. This ore zone is 15.24 meters long and 6.1 meters wide. The fault marks the contact between conglomerate and wash material on the NE, or footwall side, and silicified and serpentinized limestone and quartzite breccia on the hanging wall side, in which the manganese minerals occur.
Rocks in the vicinity consist of an older series of granite gneiss overlain by bands of limestone & amphibolite, massive limestone, quartzite and metamorphosed shales; and a younger series of sandstone, calcareous sandstone and detritus & wash material. The older rocks are probably Precambrian, the younger range from late Tertiary to Pleistocene.

Workings include a shaft and short tunnels plus another shallow shaft. Produced 1 carload of ore (1916). Analytical data: 15% Mn; 15% Fe; and, 40% Si.
