A former lode Au occurrence/mine located in sec. 3, T11N, R10E, MDM, 1.9 km (1.2 miles) SSE of Garden Valley, on the divide between Little Sailor Creek and Irish Creek, on private land. Operated by Helen B. King. Operated prior to 1867, producing specimen ore. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 1,000 meters. This claim joins the Big Four on the S and the Isabel on the E. A Mother Lode deposit. Evidence indicates a large proportion of waste compared to the amount of ore handled. Work had ceased before 1868. Yielded fine specimens from black slate.

Mineralization is a vein deposit hosted in rocks of the Late Jurassic Mariposa Formation (slate). Local rocks include Jurassic marine rocks, unit 1 (Western Sierra Nevada and Western Klamath Mountains).

Workings include underground openings. Property mined to a depth of 250 feet with an unknown amount of drifting. A 20-stamp mill was erected.

No production record was found.
