A talc-soapstone occurrence/prospect located in the W½W½NW¼ sec. 31, T20N, R11E, SBM, about 10.4 km NE of Kingston Peak (summit), near the Inyo County line. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 10 meters.

Local rocks include Precambrian rocks, undivided, unit 1 (Death Valley).

Workings include unspecified surface openings (the topo map reflects 1 open cast mine symbol at the end of a dead end, unimproved road, labeled "Pioneer Mine" at this point).
