Orthoclase from
Ula pegmatite, Ula, Tjølling, Larvik, Vestfold, Norway

Locality type:Pegmatite
Classification
Species:Orthoclase
Formula:K(AlSi3O8)
Comments:The kryptoperthite at Ula was described by Brøgger as a "Murchinsonite", a feldspar with part orthoclase and part plagioclase. It has later been showed that the feldspar in the syenite pegmatites of Larvik Plutonic Complex are not orthoclase as earlier thought but Microcline ( Larsen et al. 2010)
