Comments:"The crystals, which are greenish white and very thickly disseminated through the rock, are generally from one quarter to three quarters of an inch in diameter, much elongated, and often bent either by a gradual curvature or else by a slipping of the cross laminae successively towards one side, throughout the entire length of the crystal." Shepard (1837).
