| Comments: | Euhedral crystals typically occur in calcite pods within, or in calcite adjacent to, tough, massive, dark augite/hendricksite/gahnite rock in the East Ore Vein. Crystals can be over 5 cm on an edge, faces usually lustrous with some resorption/rounding. Internally fractured and very brittle, they crumble readily. Also occurs in weathered zones between the folds of the Sterling Hill orebody. |
