Dzharkenite from
Cactus Rat Mine, The Poison Strip, Thompsons Mining District, Grand County, Utah, USA

Locality type:Mine
Classification
Species:Dzharkenite
Formula:FeSe2
Comments:The crystal was analyzed by SEM-EDS and PXRD by Tony Kampf. The crystal contained PXRD lines for both dzharkenite and ferroselite, with ferroselite being dominant. It would appear that the dimorphs were intergrown in the crystal that was analyzed.
